  The Wounded Marines Christmas Gift Drive

We cordially invite you to participate in providing a Merry Christmas for the wounded Marines in active treatment at the Navel Medical Center in Balboa Hospital. Due to the war escalation in Iraq and Afghanistan, the number of wounded Marines in Balboa Hospital has increased from 40 to 100 since July and they could sure use some of our help to provide for some basic needs and a little Christian cheer.

- Our drive begins with a Christmas gift drive for 100 wounded marines at Balboa Medical Center with the help of the Balboa Staff hand selected gifts will be presented to each Marine and this is just the beginning.

 - Next we will be inviting those Marines that can be transported to join our Kiwanis Club at Breakfast for a special “Thank You” in Rancho Bernardo

 - We are excited to announce that our club members will also be visiting these great young men at Balboa Medical Center as they recuperate.

 - We will also be looking for activities that will help them get out of the center, such as a picnic in Mission Bay, movie, zoo or Sea World trips, golf and fishing trips.

Please join us in this most important effort.  Help us support our Marines recovery efforts by contributing money, gift, transportation and time!
